We are the Earth is the first public exhibition at Sala, exploring the intimate, ever-changing dance between us and the spaces we inhabit. There is no separate reality—what we see and experience is something we continuously build and rebuild in partnership with the earth, moment by moment.

When you visit We are the Earth, you will encounter visual metaphors for the building blocks of meaning in art: shape, colour and contrast. You’ll be invited to reflect on the influence of billboards in shaping life’s path, and to explore how our everyday reality is constructed through the “Doors of Perception.” You will empathise with the intensity of infatuation between two inanimate, yet magical, sticks. You can even discuss the very nature of art itself.
